Mind your language

It may seem like a trivial matter but it can gain (or lose) you important marks in essays and exams. Poor spelling and grammar is frequently identified as the pet hates of those who are marking your assessments.
I've found a few resources that offer some useful guides and advice on grammar, punctuation and spelling:

The Internet Guide for Grammar from University College London offers a comprehensive guide to various grammatical terms, including a glossary of their meanings

The University of Sussex offers a clear guide to punctuation.

For general help on grammar, punctuation and spelling, try the Online Writing Lab and the University of Surrey's Use of English guide.

And remember that you can always contact myself or Verity if you would like further advice.
